The Eco Ocean frames are made from recycled maritime-based plastics. Because plastic has no place in the ocean!
WFO's partner Modo is celebrating the launch of their latest collection – Eco Ocean. WFO has teamed up with the U.S. eyewear company and helped them gather the materials for their products – i.e. discarded and obsolete maritime-based fishing gear that are at a high risk of ending up in the ocean again. These items then get checked, cleaned, cut, dried, and prepped. After that, they get extruded into the plastic granules that become the Eco Ocean frames.
The frames are lightweight and super comfortable with a smooth, matte finish in ocean-inspired shades like aqua, ink and clay, as well as always-classic black, olive and blue. In a first for Eco – you can choose between polarised and non-polarised sunglasses varieties. All the cases and packaging are made from sustainable materials like cornstarch and recycled PET.
The launch campaign revolves around the important connection to the seas and spreads positive vibes, encouraging the sustainable choices people can make in their everyday lives. We are part of a generation that welcomes positive change and no matter how small, making the right choices can lead to a wave of change! Making a difference starts with making better choices, and that’s why we make it our mission to encourage brand owners to use recycled materials in their products.
