Instead of extracting more natural resources to produce ever more plastic products, why not make use of what's already freely available in our oceans today?
Plastic collected in oceans can be combined with other recycled material to create new goods.
Together with our partners, we decide on the region of focus for sourcing marine litter and the type of product.
We ship the trawl to the desired location or start collecting via one of our trusted partners. This step can take up to three months, depending on the type of waste and total amount collected.
The trash is sorted, cleaned and separated into different polymer types. We send the plastic waste collected for proper treatment. Then, our recycling partner creates small pellets by melting trash together.
The pellets are combined with other polymers so that a stable and qualitative product can be built, either with the brand's own converter or a converter we have built ties with.
The final product contains a note indicating the amount of ocean plastic. If you would like, it could also feature WFO's logo.
The product is sold as part of an existing product line or in the form of a limited edition and WFO helps you spread the word about it!
